On October 1st, 2024, Yael and I got married — on the very same day that Iran launched a missile attack on Israel.
This surreal overlap between intimacy and catastrophe became the starting point for a risograph-printed booklet that blends illustration and storytelling into a fragmented documentary form. Wedding photographs, children’s war drawings, and intimate text — based on conversations I recorded with Yael — are interwoven into a narrative that balances celebration and catastrophe, hope and fear.
