Happy Tails

2024 | UX design | social design

After researching dog adoption organizations in Jerusalem, we noticed a recurring pattern: dogs were mostly presented through heartbreaking stories that pushed for pity-based adoption. In response, we designed an interactive system that starts with a short lifestyle questionnaire, paired with playful, lighthearted elements to create a positive experience. At the end, users receive personalized matches, each shown with a card that highlights the dog’s character and the benefits of adoption — shifting the focus from “rescue” to meaningful connection. The system also offers recommendations for trainers, pet shops, and veterinary clinics, giving adopters support beyond the adoption itself.

Joint project with Shir Shaked, created as part of the course Advanced Graphic Design: Social, mentored by Roy Rub.
